Regardless, it's still good to be able to project your voice well in case you ever had to give a speech without modern technology to amplify your voice. Another part of a good speech is the pacing. You don't want to talk too fast or too slow. Rather, aim for a steady pace that allows for changes in the monologue. There may be some points where you talk slower, faster or even pause for effect. Even though there are techniques to use when giving a speech, you should aim to sound natural and not like you are an actor on a stage.

You can find plenty of resources to help you learn how to deliver fantastic speeches and cure any public speaking jitters. Some people prefer to learn on their own while others like a classroom setting. Learning to be a great speaker is not without difficulty for some people. With time and practice, even the most anxiety-prone can become confident and effective public speakers.
